Question Real-time Fuel Consumption?

Hey guys, just got my 991 4S, and been playing around with the PCM a lot. After lots of digging around I am unable to find real-time fuel consumption readouts.

I can get the average of the trip, total average as well, but I also would like to see real-time consumption. So far all my other cars have had this feature, so I kinda figured Porsche would have this too.

If the 991 does have this, where can I find it?

Yes, it has it. You have to dig into the features to add it.

Or click the "car" button and there's 3 screens. You have to click the right arrow button on the display to see screen 2 and 3. Screen 2 has the consumption in my car.

I think it shows up when you push the "Car" button on the dash and then go to "screen" 3 using the touch screen.

I noticed the consumption there too, but it's not real-time. It's the trip average only as far as I know. I want to see in real-time when I go 50 vs 80 what the difference in consumption is.

To quote my Porsche mechanic, "if you are getting really good mileage, you are doing something wrong."

Real-time consumption was one of the first features to look for in the PCM, and unfortunately it would appear that it's not available. Very disappointing as even simple cars like Mazda3s have this feature. Since the PCM have so many features, surely it couldn't have been very hard for the Porsche engineers to have added this in.

The only work around I have is to keep a constant speed and reset the trip average on the fly and wait for a figure to appear.

Ye I guess the only thing to do is to reset it very often to get kinda realtime info. Hopefully porsche can add it in a future update.

While I watch my fuel level, I don't concern myself with fuel consumption on this amazing car. Hope I don't have a problem
