My C4S Died During Morning Commute
There isn't another fix. Welcome to my life. The dealer won't even look at the car for the problem anymore. I hate this car with a passion now. Everytime I take it to the dealer the car behaves normal. It's very frustrating. The dealer had the car one time for 2 days and drove 150 miles of my lease. That was annoying also. Short term lease and I have to deal with fixing there car the whole time on my dime. Bull%*#!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is insane. I can't believe that PNA hasn't stepped up to remedy this situation for you guys. I wouldn't leave the dealership if I was still experiencing the same problems.
I may just write a letter to PNA on your behalf.

Hey guys,
I had the stalling issue this past Saturday. Started out for a drive (had done one maybe 2 hours earlier with no issues), the cranking took a bit longer than usual, and then the car was stalling at every stop as I drove. Not very comforting at all. I think I've seen it happen 2-3 times, single times, in the 16 months I've had the car (C2), and at the time I chalked it up to thinking I mistakenly had auto-start-stop on (I didn't) or maybe leaving it in gear while coming to the stop (also now sure I didn't, as the stalling behavior was what I had seen before and I have plenty of opportunities to verify it was none of the above!).
So that's the bad news, the good news is that I took it in to my dealer, and though the SA started the car and commented 'huh, seems to be running just fine' (I actually sent them a clip of it stalling that I had fortunately thought to shoot when I got home on Saturday), they contacted me a few hours later to let me know that they had found the issue in a bulletin.
For anyone else running into this, the comment on my invoice was: 'Needed spacer on crankshaft per bulletin WM 2873NO' , and the work was to install a Spacing Washer (part 991-606-912-00) and involved pulling the rear cover, rear support plate, and crankshaft position sensor.
I clearly haven't had enough time to see if it's a permanent fix yet (and clearly it wasn't for some of you!), and given that it was very intermittent for me, I wonder if I will know beyond it not happening again in the next year or two, but hopefully it's done with. With something this random, I'm sure I'll have a feeling of dread at stops for quite a while to come in either case.

Just stumbled upon this thread. Very concerning. This stalling:
It seems that this intermittent issue is for all 991s, regardless if it's manual or PDK.
For those owners who have had this problem since 2013, has this problem been resolved? It seems that placing the spacer and replacing camshaft sensor does not resolve the issue.

I'm 10 months into my lease and I live with the issue everyday. Sensor replaced and Porsche hasn't come up with a solution for my car. Pretty $#%^y I have to take the car back all the time to get them to look at it. Waisting my time when I should be enjoying this car I spent tons of hard earned money on. Once it does get fixed, if ever. All I've done is fix Porsches car. Because its a lease. Very frustrating! I regret this purchase.
Your situation is giving me second thoughts on the 991.
It would be helpful for others who have said stalling issue chime in and give an update, and see if 911F1's situation is isolated.
Any other updates from members with prior issues?
I'm interested in the 991 Carrera or C4, and wondering if this stalling issue is isolated to a few vehicles, or if it's rampant.
Thanks.

Went to the local dealer this morning and they could not see any error messages or strange readings. Sigh.
