Hello,

Recently bought a very highly optioned C2S Cab 991 in Silver GT over Expresso natural leather. The car has the Sport Design rims and Sport Design front chin piece.

Love the car... love the look. However I'm looking for something to break up the rear flow of the car a bit for it looks like it has a rather large rump (still not as bad as the 997).

I have an opportunity to buy a duck tail from another car... but it needs to be shipped, painted and installed. Not a cheap process.

So... I'd like your opinion. Should I go through all the hassle and expense to install a Duck Tail????

I'm not a fan, personally.

 

I'm with SanibelSpeed...no ducktail.

Interesting. So far a "clean" sweep vote for keeping it clean.

My preference is keep the stock spoiler extended at all times.

If it was a coupe, I would say yes but I don't think they look good on a cab.

I would skip it. If you are in the mood, just press the spoiler button to have the stock spoiler extend for a different look. The duck tail is there all the time.

There is something to be said about the clean understated look.

 

Hate the ducktail - coupe or vert. Looks stupid - like an unfinished, aftermarket add on.

 

I think you should do what appeals to you. However I can't recommend the duck on a cab.

 

Hmmmmm....obviously not a cab, but.......

 

I'm not a fan of the ducktails on the "modern" 911s. they seem too small in proportion or not angled correctly. the classic ducktail seem larger and more aggressive.
