May I ask how familiar you are with the 991 Turbo to develop a preference against it?

Way to go Suzy!

And everybody should check prices in Sweden and Brazil. I believe the C2S is priced around $400,000 in both markets.

Absolutely loving my daily driver C2S cab, but I'm just a casual mountain road kinda guy who loves to rev the engine and shift gears.

I bought 2 new Audis - A and S5 cabs, a 997.2 S cab, and a new MINI, in the space of two years before coming to the 991 C2S cab. This car finally satisfies me. Very happy customer here, have had zero problems with my car, still love the color, the leather, and the whole setup.

Haven't been able to say that about any other car in a long time.

It's approx. US$400.000 for a base 991 in my country, Turkey, as well. This is one great reason I still drive and love my 996.

Very simple... I don't like the looks. Not a fan of the air intakes. it ruins the appeal to the car for me. I know it is a fantastic car and it drives great. But for me personally I like just like the C4(S) most, with its wider hips and especially the lightbar. To be completely honest... I wouldn't have bought a 911 if there was still the 997.
Just a matter of personal taste. Nothing against the cars itself, because I love Porsche and almost all of the cars it makes. Just wouldn't want to own one as a daily driver untill the 991 showed up.

400k $US for a base 991. I think this takes the record.

Forgive my amazement, but it is hard for me to believe that there is someone who actually notices a difference between a 1998 996 C2, and a 2014 991 Turbo.

I'd bet money that 99% of others could not tell you the difference.

You are a minority, indeed.

LOL! One who doesn't see the difference between a 996 and for example a 997 should buy a guide dog or something like that, or at least visit an optician!

Btw... IMO the 996 is the less attractive 911 out there... Hate those headlights! Worst of all is that that car is designed by a fellow Dutchman named Harm Lagaay. Still haven't figured out what he was thinking when he was drawing those headlights..... Ugh!

The 996 headlights were part of Porsche's extreme makeover (with Japanese assistance) of the production process from the air cooled to the water cooled cars. Separate lights require more holes and more mounting hardware and multiple steps in final production. Time on the final assembly line was cut by making modules that fit rapidly into place.

Oh, please. You're becoming a total troll with posts like this. Have you nothing better to do than be annoying?
