Display and Control

I Actually have the Belltronics STIR plus and Laser Interceptor system.

I like the placement of the control. Its main function for me is mute. I rarely change the settings. The switch in the front is for the LI system.

This is the prefect location for the switch, if you have the 991 SMOKERS Package, you have the ability to close the ashtray cover hiding 9500ci/Belltronics STIR switch from outside prying eyes.

Question: Why do you have switch for LI? If you hit the mute button twice quickly, it kills the Laser Jammer as well.

Why would you care who could see it? Anyone paying any attention is going to see the laser diffusers.

The LI unit is a separate unit not controlled by the Belltronics unit. The switch allows you to turn off the LI when you are hit and have slowed down so the LEO can get a reading and not be suspicious.

On the 9500ci Jammer is controlled by 9500ci switch, doing the same thing as your external switch , I assumed that since Escort and Belltronics are the same company units functioned the same, I stand corrected on Belltronics.

In regard to why you care who sees it, why not cover it if you can, do you you leave your iPhone in plain view in your car when you are not in car? On my install most folks never realize that I have the 9500ci installed on the car.

Can it be stolen? The Belltronics unit is used for Radar the Laser Interceptor (a brand) laser diffuser is a separate unit unrelated to the Belltronics unit. By many accounts it is superior to the Stock 9500ci / Belltronics unit.

I have prescription sunglasses and always used to get the most polarized ones available. Worked fine until I got a BMW with heads up display. Couldn't see the display at all. Went back to optician and had to order sunglasses with less polarization to see the HUD. Had a similar issue with the Nav system in the 996 TT Porsche but changed systems and now the really dark ones are ok in the Porsche.
