Nine XI is infamous around these partsNine XI is infamous around these parts
I have a Rubbermaid tub which exactly fits in the front storage area under the hood. I use it to transport my helmet, gloves, shoes, etc. It is also handy when you get there to put stuff into - since you have to take everything out of your car, including the floor mats, etc. If you don't rent a garage and it is raining you can put stuff in there and it will stay dry. A lot of people say to avoid polyester clothing because it will melt if there was a fire - not sure if that is overkill. I have never purchased track insurance but I would if I tracked my new 991. It is expensive on a newer car if you want full coverage.

As previously said, the one thing you don't want to bring is your ego. I have found people at these events are very friendly and appreciative of newcomers. There will be a wide variety of talent, and no matter what god-given talent you have, you will not be the best or worst driver on the course.

You will have a great time.

I think as track days go, tomorrow is going to be as good as it gets because there are only 10 of us driving, with me being the only newbie. Also, my friend will have his track mechanic and his mobile tool truck there so I have been told that I don't need to bring any tools.

Thanks so much for all the helpful tips and guidance. I will post pictures.

Darren -- Keep an eye on the rear brake pads. They have a tendency to overheat due to PTV. Given that temps tomorrow will be well into the 90s, I would pit a few times in the first couple sessions and check that the pads are not showing any signs of smoke or charring.
