I was doing less than 20 MPH, while about to make a right turn, the left rear tire side wall blew out. I went back to look to see if I may have hit something, but there was nothing in the road and the pavement was smooth. Anyone know of any defects on these tire, mine have 2000 miles on them. The dealer found no foreign objects or anything in the tire. The hole was a good 2 inches long, and was in a location that is not in contact with the road. There were no visible scrapes leading up to the slit either, and I have never hit a curb. This has me worried about the stock Pirelli tires as this should not have happened.

interesting.

Rear left is the same tire that all the F1 Pirelli's are blowing up on as well

Coincidence?

Glad you're OK

Which Michelin Pilot Sport model tire is rated the best at this time? Maybe I'll get a set and sell the Pirellis on eBay.

+1 for the Michelin PSS...good looking tire too. Get it before it gets its N rating and price goes up

I'm having the tires replaced with PSS. It's just a better all around tire.
