Insert into Right center vent and slide to the extreme right side of vent. The dash will brace it

^ this doesn't work for me

however, all the way on the upper right portion of the passenger vent seem to work better at keeping it stiff.. (see pic below)

any other places i should try sticking it in ?

991 vents are different and it works very well. Try upgrading the car and see if that works for you ;

it's sad how we have to mess up the look of a beautiful car because Porsche will not make Online Services available to those cars that were pre 2012 built, and secondly why their Online Services package is at the bottom end of what other manufacturers offer.

I understand the need to drive the car and not be texting or reading email, but people are going to do it anyway so why not make it part of the PCM/Voice Activation/MFD??

They probably want to make it as hard and inconvenient as possible so that drivers get fed up and DON'T do it. Got to believe there is gotta to be culpability here for Porsche if driver killed somebody because they were "reading their email on the PCM". Don't know how other car companies who allow you to access emails on their cars are getting away with it or why they have not thought of that. The whole point is that people should not be doing it. Period.
