Hi there -
I haven't tried it with the non-PSE center, but I would assume it's still very loud / aggressive. With the PSE, it's loud either on or off.

since I already purchased the Fabspeed exhaust tips, I think I have to stick with the other Fabspeed parts, otherwise they may not fit.

I don't have any videos yet but will soon. I did not notice a difference one way or another.

If it were me I would order Fabspeeds Xpipe and call it. Takes about 1hr for install and you will be on your way.
did you install the pipe yourself? Was removal of the back body necessary? I would like to start with just the Fabspeed xpipe too

wondering if the Fabspeed race exhaust option would still allow me to pass NJ emissions? Anyone install this? I know it replaces all 3 mufflers. How loud? any video? Thanks

Fabspeed has some videos on their website and on YouTube. The 'Race" X-pipe will be the loudest option as it completely removes the side pipes and mufflers and replaces the center section with resonated pipes.

I see a lot of these discussions are based on the S model with valves on the center muffler... how about us lowly C2 3.4 owners with a standard center muffler? Would the X-pipe be the a worthwhile improvement for sound since I do not have PSE?

David,

Most of the exhaust options listed also apply to the 3.4 Carrera. The Sharkwerks I believe right now is only compatible with the 3.8 unless you can source "S" tips and I think an S centre.

There's a YouTube video showing the FVD x-pipe on a 3.4 Carrera and it sounds pretty nice. There are other choices too.

If your looking for just a sound increase their center muffler bypass isn't for you. It may be marginally louder then the stock non pse in sport it's just that loud all the time. I decided to keep it and I removed the side mufflers to give me that extra grunt I was looking for.
