Out of Round Pirelli

Has anyone had a bad tire on a new C4S? Went to Discount tire today with slight shimmy. 120 miles on car. They found one front tire needing a 1/4 ounce Bigger issue is they said we have an out of round tire. Had them balance tire. Still feel a light shimmy from 40 mph +

There is a warranty on the tire, I believe. If you can't find it, I'll look up mine.

dyim will become famous soon enough
I have a C2S that I felt a shimmy at around 60+mph since day one.

I thought it could be out of balance. Never thought it could be not round and need replacement.

My car is almost 6 months old with more than 5000 miles. Does anyone know if there is any time and mileage limits?

I don't live close to a dealer and was hoping to bring it up during the first oil change.

Thanks.

Back in the old days, all tires (except Michelin) were out of round. I'll never forget taking a brand new set of Dunlop tires to a tire truer where they cut the tires to be round. When they finished cutting off the rubber necessary to make them round, they were literally half worn on one side of the tire. Conversely, the car was very smooth after they finished and it no longer had that nervous feel in the steering wheel that so many people say is road feel. Part of the problem was the stamped wheels, but much of it was out of round tires. I finally figured out the Michelin was the best, but still just a little off. The Pirelli tires on my 991 are the best non-Michelin tires I have ever used and I'm sure that all tires have gotten better. But you better believe when these Pirelli tires wear out, there will be Michelins on my car.

I personally would not take my car to Discount Tire. Their machines are not calibrated or that great generally from my experience.

I had a set of Dunlops that were not round and the manufacturer replaced them.
I would try to deal with it through the dealer first.
