I turned the car in and got a full refund. The shop did not manage to find the root of the problem. Now I am looking to buy a brand new car. No more demo cars! Thanks to everyone for their input!

Good for you.
None of us should have to live with very expensive defective products.

It's not true until we see pictures of your new car (without a sulfur cloud which was a discontinued option for 2014).

This reply is probably a bit late but I am wondering...
I recall reading in the manual somewhere that the air recirculation activates briefly when you come to a stop to prevent contaminated outside air from getting into the cabin. That contaminated air would of course smell of hot brakes and other fumes that your average petrol head would describe as highly desirable...

I would of course assume that your workshop did check that this in fact works...

Hi Rainier

They checked this by removing the sensor. (though I am not sure if this would have the desired effect). But the smell was still there.

I have this issue on my 991 C4S and can’t figure it out. This is the only thread I’ve found anywhere that mentions it.

dealer is also jerking me around. It was under warranty when I first brought it in. They kept telling me they couldn’t smell it.

A gas leak is a very serious issue that may cause you to smell gasoline while you're driving your car. ... The location of the leak will determine when you smell gas. For example, if the leak is in your fuel injection line, you're likely to smell gas while you're driving and right after you've stopped driving. roblox tutorialsmobdro
