TPMS after wheel change

I recently changed my wheels to the HRE P101's. I had wheels boutique send me wheels with tires and factory TMPS. Since mounting the wheels, I get a tire warning error code. I was told the car may take awhile to recognize the change. It has been well over a week and no change. Any advice? I've read the owners manual and can't seem to find a solution. I don't have a local dealer. Thanks in advance

Took me a bit to figure it out and I'm not sure what did it eventually. Go into the TPMS setting, for a while it was blank after switching wheels. Eventually it asked me what kind of wheels I had on, I think the choices were 19" or 20" summer or winter wheels. I choose 20" winters, it then took a few more minutes to get the readings but all was well. I hope this helps.

Thanks Ma991. I go to the TPMS setting each time I start the car. It never asks me anything. How long did it take before car asked your wheel choice? Thanks again

The whole thing took less than 5 minutes for me. Check out page 105 and 106 of the manual. Find the option for "tire type", it's there.

Maybe incorrect sensors? Shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

I had new tires installed a week ago. My TPMS would not learn the new tires until I went into the tire pressure settings, *cleared them* and then reset them to 20" summer comfort. TPMS then sensed the new tires almost immediately. Even though I had all the right settings entered, it wouldn't work until I cleared the settings and re-entered them. Try that.

my winter tires were purchased through the Porsche dealer locally and the sensors immediately recognize when they are changed. I did not want to mess with anyone putting old 997-series or incorrect sensors on my wheels.

I go into the computer and indicate Summer or Winter each time. Guess it needs to get its winter clothes...lol...

Sorry to hear about your sensor problem, but man your car looks incredible with those wheels on! Wow nicely done. I hope you resolve that issue.
