Full Leather -- Black interior
I never don't appreciate my black full leather. The standard stitching provides a subtile contrast that emphasizes the design of the interior. It complements the silver trim and it works well with platinum silver. I have to keep my hands from running over the stitches, because I so often run a finger along the body work when approaching the car. At least the brake dust doesn't show. Sigh.

Definitely less appreciable in the 'plus look' department (compared to anything lighter than black).
Yes, standard plastic interior lacks of aluminum looking door trims, already mentioned by Suzy.
The full leather interior is a big plus even if in a black color compared to standard plastic interior.

Looks like cheap plastic without the full leather IMO on any color....honestly I don't even understand how it's an option on a 100K plus car when all ///Ms have this standard...probably AMG does too....
IMO any nice car like porsche, ferrari, lambo, etc shouldn't have a black interior. It makes it look plain and defeats the purpose of the car. The point of these cars is to draw attention not be understated. If you had a hot wife would you have her go out with you in public looking like a homeless person so she would be understated?
Attention comes with the territory, so in my opinion colors like beige or brown or even red, look way more exotic than basic black. Black looks like a kia. I love the full leather beige interior in these cars. Well worth 5k. I can understand though if you have to have black it probably isn't worth the extra 5k.
Though I have noticed even with full leather the inside a pillars are still hard plastic which is stupid. Should be leather or alcantara.

You have clearly no idea where you're talking about, since the A-pilars on the 991 are always covered in Alcantara on the coupe and covered in leather on the cab, with a full leather interior.

On my C2S the inside A pillars and headliner are alcantara. I think it is standard on the S.

If you're flipping cars like that it seems to me that a leather interior would be a must. Isn't that one of the most desirable options!!??

If you can afford it, you may as well get the leather interior. I have a black leather interior with yellow gauges and it feels and looks very nice. The aluminum trim is a nice touch and breaks up what could otherwise be a monotonous interior.
A Porsche is not for drawing attention. Porsches are for driving... Ferraris are for show.

There is a full leather 991 boxster S just delivered on my driveway waiting to prove you wrong. That is your opinion that a car like a Porsche isn't for show. It may be the bottom of the totem pole for exotics but it's still on there.
Sorry buddy, cars with loud exhausts or electronic wings don't inspire subtlety.

New to Porsche spare me I lump all the new cars as 991 body style in my head. You know what I mean don't be a smart ***. The boxster doesn't have leather or alcantara on the a pillars even with a full leather interior.
I did make a PDF sheet about the interiors to make it a little bit easier for people to know what the differences are, so I surely know what I'm talking about.

The Boxster is a lot cheaper and that is probably why Porsche does these things to justify these price differences.
BTW: Better to be a smart *** than just an ***...

To the OP.
It's totally up to you and your personal preference.
Obviously with a black interior it all fades into the blackness of the cabin, unless (as previously stated) you opt for deviated stitching to accentuate the contours of your interior.
Some might ask why get full leather at all (in any color), and spend the money on performance enhancing options instead.
As for being "less valuable" in black, that is completely subjective..

Appreciate the replies.
Thinking I will just do two-tone full leather black/platinum grey. There is some included deviated stitching so I think it would put this issue in my head to rest pretty well.
Any ideas how dark the platinum grey leather is?? Two light would suck cause of the risk of getting dirty etc.
