Can't decide, what would you do?
I would just order the car from the dealer that is offering you the white one. It's just the principle that they are going back on their word and 2,000 may be chump change to some of you but it's still a good amount of money. It is subsidized by the term which makes the 2,000 not seem like much since it's not coming out as one large sum but in the end it's still 2,000. Much rather put that 2,000 on an exhaust or another option you want. The dealer has a lot more wiggle room then 9.5% and are still making a nice profit on the car they are just trying to stick it to you.
Update:
I emailed the GM last night with the Black one and aired my thoughts on the deal.
He offered me a Venture Shield on the front end for no cost. I'm not a clear bra guy (and if I were, I'd go with the best installer around, not a dealer subcontractor), so I passed on the bra.
Instead, we agreed on a $500 credit for the Parts Dept for Porsche accessories (clear markers, etc) I'm happy with that and his desire to keep me as a customer. The Black car is what I want and I know I'll be happy with it. Yes, it's still about $1500 more than the white one, but the car has exactly the options I want and I don't have to change my name to WhiteSpeed
Anyone want info on that 2014 white car, pm me, I will pass your info onto the dealer for the white one. He's great and I always feel bad for the runner-up dealer in these situations.

Im pretty sure a full front end venture shield is more than $500. The material alone might be that much. Just saying that was a good offer.
They like it because it protects the residual value of their car, for when they get it back.
I get you not wanting it, because you cant buff it out and on a black car you want the shine of bare paint.
That is a good dealer you found there.

This car will not be a DD and it's a lease, so I don't think it adds anything for me. I'd rather have something I can take away from the deal. I'm happy and I agree it is a good offer!
Now I just gotta wait for her to come in!
Thanks for all of the responses everyone!
Not sure if it's making my decision any easier, I'm still torn on what to do.
Unfortunately, this really puts a damper on the whole process and sucks some life out of the buying experience, but I'm a big boy and it's not my first time buying a car. I know how these people do business, even if it's not right.
The deals are very aggressive on the deals and there's not a ton of meat let on the bone for the them (9.5% off MSRP 2014 car, .0022 MF, no money down lease, 73% resid) and the Black car was essentially an ordered car. They're making money on the MF and that's okay by me, as they have to make some money.
The $2000 difference is not a huge factor at all (God knows I waste a lot more than that on meaningless crap
), but the principle is huge for me. The original deal was never in writing (they rarely are), but that shouldn't matter IMO. I've already told them I will walk on the car and I very may do just that, they don't seem to care. FYI, I've been dealing with the SM & GM on this deal since the beginning, so there's no where to go, accept the owner, who probably won't care.
I've bought many cars from their family of dealers and have sent many customers there way over the years and I am friendly with people who are very close to the owner, but I don't want to go there, just yet. If I do walk, I will not buy or service with this dealer again (I'm that kind of guy) and at 36 years old, that's a lot of business they will lose over the long haul, but I don't think they care in a large market, there's always another sucker.
So, do I suck up my principals and pay these creeps what they want and get the car I want, even though I know it's not 100% kosher. I'm getting an amazing deal for the car...hmmmm. Is this just par for the course and so I eat the $2k and my principals??
For the record, the dealer with the white car has been amazing to deal with (directly with the GM) and no nonsense and straight forward, but his car is on the lot and he wants to unload it. I've met the guy with the white car before and he's great, I've never met the people with the Black car....
Thanks for the shoulder

As you are friendly with people who are very close to the owner, discreetly attempt to make contact with him through them and mention the situation directly.
^ If you think the SM & GM are greedy wait until you meet the owner.
If I was the owner and someone complained to me about this 9.5% off MSRP deal, I would tell my SM & GM to stop giving giving cars away and start selling them, because people will complain no matter what.
Might as well make me some more money.
Of course, I would be very interested in hearing about the other deals the customer was considering, as that lets me know where my prices should be.

I'm glad you got the car you really wanted and a fantastic deal also!! At least the GM came through with a token gesture indicating that they appreciate you as a customer and would like to keep your business.
Congrats on the car and post pics after delivery !
