AWE - SwitchPath Exhaust Impressions - VIDEO
I have a 991 c2s PDK with PSE. I liked the PSE exhaust pretty well, but always wanted a little more raw sound from my car. I would start the car and immediately put the car in sport mode mostly for the sound of the exhaust (I always drive in manual mode).
I looked at several options, and almost pulled the trigger on the TechArt system. I am really glad I waited. I just got the SwitchPath exhaust from AWE. I worked with Mike@AWE who is a forum member here. He was always really responsive and kept in touch while I waited for the exhaust to arrive. Overall a stand up guy and a pleasure to work with.
I installed the exhaust myself as it is a very simple install. I decided not to remove the rear bumper. It was a tight fit pulling the oem PSE setup out but is definitely doable if you dont want to remove the bumper.
The exhaust came packed in these protective expanding foam bags which I had never seen before.

Here is a picture of it unboxed. I was like a kid on Christmas.

Accessories plus a complementary Blow Pop.

VIDEOS - recorded with an iPhone
Here is a video of the stock PSE setup. the stock valves are closed, and then opened at 0.47 seconds.
Here is a video of the SwitchPath setup. Valves are closed, then opened at 0.45, closed again at 0.51, then opened again at 0.57
I couldnt be happier with my decision. It really woke the sound of the car up, and I enjoy it even more now. The videos do not to the sound justice. The crack that this setup makes on upshifts with PDK are intoxicating. And the burbles on negative load are also amplified.
The Jekyl and Hyde nature of this car is even more pronounced. With the valves closed, the car is tame and civil and absolutely will not drone at any RPM.
With the valves open and the throttle down the car sounds viscous. I highly recomend this setup to anyone in the market. It is priced well below the competition. And AWE will refund all of your money including all install costs incurred if you are not happy with it. Great product, great service, thanks AWE.
Here is an in car video. (the valves are open throughout)

Thanks. With the valves open, this is a straight pipe setup. There are no mufflers/resonators on the center section and the valves bypass the side mufflers. I do still have the cats though. For me it's the best of both worlds if you have the pse button.

Thanks!
Fed Ex showed that the box weighed 30 lbs. If I had to guess I would say it was 50"x20"x20". I updated the original post with youtube versions of the same videos, which should play easier.
