....but don't do it near my 911. Stopped at the Apple store to have my daughter's mac fixed. Empty spaces in front of store beckoned. Parked and within 4 minutes a student driver and instructor attempted to parallel park 7 times. I finally left the store and told the instructor that perhaps the possibility of scratching my Porsche was making her nervous. I suggested that they move onto to another spot. They laughed. They left.

They probably appreciated you reminding them how important you and car are.

Well, it's not just student drivers. You brought it on yourself.

Respectfully,

Video is too funny! Yup I usually park in what my wife refers to as the "Porsche parking section" miles from anyone but it was raining cold and miserable and the spot was right in front of my destination. Lesson learned: there is no such thing as a good parking spot that is close to anything.

Almost comical that a student driver would show up. It's freaking Murphy's Law. I have learned to park far away no matter the conditions.

Me too, but for some reason I can park at the farthest corner of the supermarket and someone will invariably decide to park right next to me..

That's why I live near a massive retirement community. No one is willing or able to walk the distance required to park next to me.

Massive retirement community - isn't that just another description of Florida.

Maybe but when they fling open that massive door of an old Cadillac Coup De ville into the side of your car it can probably set the air bags off...

But they can get their little electric scooter out and ride it up to the store..

Every time I visited my late grandfather - who lived in a condo on the beach in Broward - I noticed that his car, as well as the other cars parked in condo parking lot - were always freshly repainted. When I asked him about that, he chuckled and said "accidents happen."
