Is 15.1 Volts too high?
Is 15.1 Volts too high?
Hi Everyone-Been an "observer" (lurker sounds so creepy)since August which was when I ticked off the only item on my bucket list & I got my first Porsche - a '13 Black C2S that at the time was about 1 year old/5k miles. Life is good.
This past week I've noticed that my volt gauge has been running right under the red line at 15.1-15.3 volts (basically only the radio running) It had been running around 14V. Should I be concerned/alarmed?
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I saw 15.1 today also. Maybe because it is cold today (ambient temp less than 0*C) and the car wants it high? In preparation for heated seats/ defroster?
This is the car's first winter, so I have no comparison.
Normally it would run from 13.4 to 14.8.

I'm at 15.1v this AM too, but also dealing with one front radiator fan that is not working (part on order). Also, I'm told because of this, that is why I have zero heat coming into the cabin. Brrr! (25deg F right now).
I recently asked the dealer to look at the car as I too had a 15.1. They said, don't worry unless you see 16. it is normal.

Good to know, as I was monitoring it today and it was ranging from 14.7 to 15.1. Most of the time it was 15.1
