Oh my goodness that looks amazing...

BUT - I still don't get the upper outside corner of the headlights, and why the panel just can't seem to line up to the headlight housing...

I still can't get past the performance of the thing (under 7 minutes around the 'Ring - although not in this trim). Absolutely staggering.

Take a GT-R, increase hp by over 300. Lower the weight by roughly 300lbs, lower the center of gravity, more aggressive gearing, larger footprint....and wala!

 

I agree with ArashApollo, it does look like a perfectly evolved CGT. Simply perfect looking machine.

 

I know what you mean, but it's still a GTR--most of the people buying this car wouldn't be caught dead in a GTR, no matter how fast it is. I always find these hyper cars, if successful, have a mix of beauty, cutting edge technology, performance and exclusivity. And that's what the buyers are after and they change out of these cars, like my wife does handbags

I would say the buyers are not much different than many of us 991 owners, but they just have much bigger wallets (and that says a lot, because some of you guys ain't hurtin' My kids are getting use to the Raman noodles, my wife just keeps telling them, "daddy has a bad addiction" haha--I'm kidding of course I let them have mac & cheese).

I could have bought a faster car than my c2s, but nothing else in the market checked all the other boxes, YMMV.

 

No you didn't compare the 918 to a GTR!

 

The 961 should be similar in design to the 918, but without the electric bits, apparently. I'm saving my pennies!

Wow, that's the first time I've seen Chris Harris partially challenged and less than fully composed. Other than looking like a work of art, it's a little hard for me to imagine how 918 customers in the US will be able to enjoy the car's total assets on public roads. But as a research and development guy I have the utmost appreciation for what the Porsche engineers have accomplished.

I wonder what kind of mileage that thing gets... Looking for another daily driver.
