My 993 came from the factory with a rubber bib to protect the paintwork from dripping fuel and pump handle chips. Since then I have added this cheap mod to every car I own and it has been well worth it. I did the same with my 991 today. Just thought I'd share.

The bib is simply hand cut from spare rubber sheet, or in my case, an old auto tire inner tube. (Yes, I have had a stable of classics that used such things!)

A non issue. Never absorbs fuel. Have had one on all my cars for 11 years now. (That's when I bought the 993.)
