New C2S finally here!
New C2S finally here!
Picked up my C2S three nights ago. I feel like I just had a child, after a three month wait. I only have a 100 miles on it so far, but I'll post some opinions.
Mine has 7MT, PSE, SPASM, 18-way adaptive seats, Bose, and glass sunroof.
My impressions so far:
This car is amazing!!! Every sensation is fantastic. The engine sound. The tight feel. The sport exhaust is a must. The first thing I do is press the "Sport" button and the exhaust is also on. The 7MT is fantastic in its precision and feel. I haven't shifted into the wrong gear yet. I was hesitant based on journalists' reviews of some loss of precision. Granted, I haven't driven a 997, but this is the best manual I've driven, except maybe a Honda S2000 years ago. I don't think you'll regret the 7MT unless you spend your time tracking or in bumper to bumper traffic. I drive in Los Angeles traffic and still have no regrets. Engine power is beyond adequate. I'm still breaking the car in and it still feels extremely fast with limited revs.
The LED lights look the business. I think they're unique in appearance. For those wondering, the four little lights in the main housing serve as daytime running lights (without the lower strip as with the xenons). When the main headlights come on, the four small lights turn off, and the lower strip then turns on as well. I've attached a pic after getting out of the car where both the 4 lights and strip are on. This only occurs after turning off car (courtesy lights).
The 18way adaptive seats fit me perfectly. Most comfortable and snug (in a good way) seats I've ever had.
Bose: I know the audiophiles on here aren't fans. Honestly, it's adequate for me. I spend most time listening to the PSE with the windows open.
SPASM: The lowered height looks fantastic! Much more appropriate than the PASM. However, that front lip will scrape in the real world despite your best intentions. I scraped coming out of the dealership. It sounds horrible when you rub, but it's a relatively cheap replacement of the lip if need be. You can't tell it's even scraped unless you feel for it.
Things I don't like so far:
Climate control fan always on at startup no matter how you set it: annoying, but I just turn it off just like I turn on the Sport button.
The door panels where you often lean your elbow up near the windows feels very cheap. It's flimsy with no support underneath and mine squeaks like a cheap motel bed each time I put my arm on it. It's very annoying. I'll take it in at some point. I'm not sure if it would be any different had I gotten the leather interior. I'd be curious if others have had similar experiences.
Will get some tints soon to set off the black roof and 7/15mm spacers.

Congratulations! Great to see another white C2S in our neighborhood.
I also have a 7MT car, and even with LA traffic and tracking, there are absolutely no regrets.
Love the new LED headlight look.

Beautiful car. As far as the fan thing, I thought I read somewhere you have to tie it to a seat setting on a specific remote. But it's possible?

We've been discussing the fan on another recent thread. No luck so far on my end.
I'm sure he'll chime in, but don't 2014 models come with that new headlight style?
