Road Hazard Coverage from Total Warranty Services

Hi everyone,

I just received an email from a Porsche dealer advertising the above tire and wheel coverage. I was quoted $605 for 2 years for $5000 max liability. I'm curious if anyone has ever had this particular coverage. The price seems to be very reasonable for a p-car. My dealer quoted me 1600 at lease inception 3 weeks ago, which I turned down.

Price seems really good. Did you read the actual policy details as to what is covered?

Not yet. The dealer will scan the contract and email it to me. I'll post my findings.

you might want to confirm if "cosmetic" will be covered for the wheel as well. Some doesn't cover as long as you can pump air. $600 sounds reasonable but mine didn't have max liability for 3 yrs.

Be careful and read the fine print. $605 sounds great until you put in a claim and they say it ain't covered. Sounds to me like a scam-- in NY $605 barely covers two oil changes, so for me, I am very skeptical it is any good.

I agree. Its not a NY dealer that's offering its Porsche of Naples. I called the company and they confirmed that they offer nationwide coverage. I read the contract and it seems standard and nothing out of the ordinary. I think I'll give it a try. Being in NY, one insident can cost a lot more. I had runflats on my x5 and I still went through 3 tires. I bought coverage for the x5 for $900 so I guess I was ahead on that trade.

I'm sorry I don't remember the name. I got it through Princeton Porsche and it covered minor body damage as well like chips/ding etc.. I remember it was something like $1500 for 3 yrs.

If you do a research carefully on this forum some paid/negotiated 800-1000 for 3-5 yrs. Def. 6 sounds too good to be true.

I signed up for it. Porsche of Naples sold me the policy. I was told by the business manager, Ron, that in FL, road hazard insurance is treated like any other insurance contract and the premium is regulated by the state. This leads me to believe that after market coverages for cars can be had much cheaper in FL.
