Do any of you just hate the amount of ads that just riddle this forum? It's almost unusable with an iPad. CRAZY. Like way over the top. I'd love to just pay $10 and got rid of them all. It's mental.

Am I the only one that thinks this is just insane?

I have said the same thing to myself multiple times. I completely agree. I would gladly pay a membership fee.

I hate free stuff payed for by apps filling your screen.
Plus you can be sure that sponsors would still pay to be in a vendor directory where they could buy more or less space and they would still post in the threads.

Several forums have this approach and you can get a basic membership, pay extra for an avatar etc.

6speed is a great forum but it could be even better!

Watch out, this thread may well be moved to another section of the forum as it is not 991 specific. But this being said, I am perfectly fine when the 991 crowd that we hang out with all day is posting about non-991 things.

 

Are you using any kind of privacy protection in your browser. I am using Ghostery (http://www.ghostery.com), it will give you protection from tracking and ads. Much cleaner and safer browsing experience.

 

Do you get less ads or are they simply less targeted at you based on (the absence of) navigation history? I do not do any if this because I like to stay logged from one session to the other....

 

You will get less ads, and stay logged in unless you clear cookies.

 

I never get any ads on my iPad.... (Using the iOS app, location services switched off)

Been using iPad (safari) since they first came out...I don't get those kind of ads...what browser are you using...perhaps we can get you an answer....you shouldn't be receiving any ads other than what you open on the forum...you do need to log in otherwise you will get some ads

 

I access 6SO from all my iOS devices. Hate the app interface so ALWAYS use web portal interface. I haven't really noticed adds bothering me...
