Plate
Was stopped at a light and an older guy (I'm almost 60 so he had at least a decade on me) puts his window down to tell me he likes my license plate saying that looks like a taunt to police. The plate says 9II not 9-1-1 I said "huh?" Then I understood and in short remaining time I explained that 9II has been Porsche's model designation for 50 years.
Doubt it. We have a VLTSWGN plate on a Prius and I've lost count of those pointing out that the car is a Toyota.
Now that you mention it, about a year ago after I asked an Amtrak cop if I could wait in my car for my daughter at a security zone next to a train station he stopped back and said he should have applied for the plate for his car. I asked him what year Porsche he owned and he said he drove a Dodge.

My license plate reads FASTRNU. Think that would be interpreted as a taunt to the cops, hehehe?
Best part is when I watch someone behind me wording the plate, trying to figure out what it means, then they smile and laugh when they finally get it.

Reminds me of "The Dictator" and the helicopter scene. Based on personal sensitivities you may or may not like it. Video Link: http://youtu.be/UjpoU6fVNCQ
yes, that's one of my favorites.. The whole 911 date for Porsche thing is a bit unfortunate I suppose..
Even as a "emergency" number it predated that capability in phone systems which didn't exist until the 1970's... (And in Europe the equivalent is '999' instead of the north american 911 if I am correct)
Sort of reminds me in the 80's there were different products (I remember a appetite suppressant candy, and an ambulance company) that used various incarnations "AIDS".. Ended up changing their names for obvious reasons....
