Pricing on 50th Anniversay model...

I would appreciate hearing from individuals who have purchased - or negotiated a price on a car being built - for the 50th Anniversary model. There seems to be a few on dealer's lots, so obviously they are not being grabbed up the minute they arrive. If other 991 buyers can offer their pricing experiences that too would be helpful.

There really shouldn't be a premium on these cars (especially seeing you can pick them up on ebay!!)

Typically people have been getting discounts between 4-9% on a 991, so I can't imagine why this wouldn't apply to the now passé 50th Anniversary edition model.

I think Porsche may have been slightly overoptimistic, given the so-so demand for these special edition models.

Keep us posted..

Thank you - the 4-9% discount information was exactly what I was seeking. I was thinking about 5%...sure would not mind the 9%!!

I ordered mine last summer when they were first announced so there was no negotiating. It was finally delivered last month.

I picked this as my first 911 because I liked the commemorative design, wanted the extra rear wheelbase on a C2, and it comes with the Chrono and Powerkit.
I then added PDCC, SPASM, a painted roof and selected the 7MT, aluminum pedals and gas cover and rear wiper. This one is a keeper and I expected to pay the MSRP for it.
I like it so much that I would get another in a different color if I had the garage space.

What I "negotiated" was full clear bra, wheel/tire/key insurance and a dent/ding package for $2000.

Since I configured, there were no savings on the car, but if it's sitting on a lot a while, that's a different story - but then again I wouldn't buy it off the lot to save a few bucks unless it had everything I wanted. I believe you should be truly getting the car you want at this pricepoint, saving X% is a concern beyond secondary.

In the end if saving money is your goal, I would think the 911/50 may even be more expensive down the road should there be any damage. All that chrome, the seats and the Fuchs wheels will cost more to replace than the more mass-produced parts. Check out what Suncoast is charging for the few items it has.

Speaking of Suncoast I got rubber mats, frunk liner, door edge protection, a Schild frunk protector

Anyway which dealer was it, what colors did the dealers have? It was heavily advertised in the Agate and Geyser but the two cars my dealer ordered were black.

I got 5% on mine in late January, one of the last available in Canada. The last 9 of the 50 here took 3 months to sell nationwide.

The allocation of the 1963 units is likely very nearly complete. As for production, my car will be a May build. Sounds like there are a number on dealer lots in the U.S. though.
