Anyway we have progress from PCNA they are talking about buying my car back or getting me a new one. The lemon law arbitration is only a few days away now so if PCNA don't fix this for me then Connecticut Consumer protection laws certainly will. They say it is as strong case as they have ever seen.
I heard from a Porsche dealer yesterday that they would rather buy the car back without LL and give a large discount on another car.

It's final if they find in favor of you and if they don't you can take it to court. Court is costly and more difficult.

You want to get a favorable ruling in mediation in this case, civil court won't result in a better judgement. Unless a punitive complaint can be made, civil court will be a waste of time. Looks and feels like an easy win.

I hope this works out for you in a way that you find peace with it .

I view these types of circumstances somewhat differently . I am just speaking for myself in my sentiment about this.

Every day a car sits with problems its depreciating further. Any time a car faces an issue it's a negative event. In many cases it causes inconvenience or costs money(IE anything from a flat tire to a car accident) . My feeling is that when one is faced with a loss he can either allow time to pass and ratonalize it or he can hedge the loss ASAP. I probably would have traded in that car months ago .. at the initial onset of hopeless repair attempts (at multiple shops if need be).

I feel a car is a fun adventure but when its not fun the resolution has to be swift . In my opinion .. that is what a "rainy day savings" is for. I realize that you view it as your loss to pay one cent more . I feel a car is just a car and money is simply money but wasted time and stress is priceless .

For myself .. i would rather be on the road with a new beginning immediately even if i had to pay for it a little .

For me a car with problems is not a terminal illness . It's simply a bad day or even an few bad days until I decide to make it a better day .

You can't change the attitude of the people at that dealership which have disappointed you . The only thing you do have control of is is how you choose to cope with it .

I have had a similar experience from that dealership. They did have a floor model at one point I was interested in. I ask for a price on the car, so I can sign the papers and take it home. The price they gave me was 0.7% off the MSRP. The car is still for sale. Good luck with the new car, and I hope it all works out.

Exclamation Update

Well things have moved along sort of, after my last update the car has been back to the dealer twice more, once for all the problems and once for inspection and evaluation by PCNA. They kept it for another 20+ days (60+ days total 7 visits for those not keeping count) before giving it back to me Thursday last. They had replaced more bits, regulars, a wire harness, gas tank vent value and even the horn…

They felt they had fixed the car and had driven it 600 miles without any problems and were hoping I would reconsider keeping it with a compensation package, which was quite fair. Unfortunately little over 32 hours after I got the car back it broke down again, this time it really spat the pacifier out of its crib.

I was heading away on a weekend trip to Vermont but did not get far before warning messages about multiple system failures started to come up, then the PDK locked into 4th gear. All the dash and PCM went black and the engine died while on i95. Turns out trying to get a car with dead engine and electrics (no indicators, no wipers) out of the left lane over to the hard shoulder in fast traffic in the rain is quite the adventure.

Once safely to the side of the road I took out my phone and videoed the smoke coming from the passenger side door and other evidence that the car was quite dead this time. It would not crank, there was quite the party of warning messages so I had it flat-bedded to the dealer while I enjoyed the afternoon beauty of nature from the vantage point of exit 23 of i95 in the rain...

That was last Saturday. After that PCNA have very active in trying to come to a deal with me. They did also find some burnt out wires and electical water damage inside my car, which they sent me photos of. It is still at the dealers so I don’t know the whole story about that yet but they are once again hopeful of getting it back on the road?

Needless to say we are very close to sorting this all out for good. I have not made another video (even though tempting because I have some very entertaining new footage) because I feel PCNA are now doing all they can to come to a quick resolution on this and I don’t want to be a dick about it and rub their noses if I can avoid it.

Failing any agreement my lemon law arbitration is due April 25th and everyone involved agrees that is going to be an uncontestable win for me.

You are clearly not from this planet. I admire your restraint and patience If I had a similar experience I would have already been in custody held without bail.

Hold out for a new car with significant upgrades. I'm thinking turbo s.

Cannot believe they thought they "fixed" it only for you to break down on the road. With all the time and effort they have put into this car, it would have been easier and faster to have already gotten you a new one already.
