Doing the opposite of most,but after 10 months of 991 ownership. I'm trading for a 2011 997.2 C2S. Reasons?
- this is a good time to trade in as the Canadian $ has dipped in value. which has put a strain on pre owned volume here.
- I'll never own a black car again,
God is it beautiful when its clean , but that never lasts long.
- 997 will be more of my DD and with some out of town work I'm going to rack up some km's. Wasn't comfortable doing that kind of mileage on the 991.
- will post some pics over at 997 when I get it tomorrow.
I'll miss you guys

Interesting trade! The only thing that always catches me off guard is the vertical center console in the 997, compared to the 991. Otherwise, every single one I see looks modern and amazing.
Can't wait to see her!

Thanks Louis, no couldn't find a vehicle at Pfaff that I wanted to switch to. Ended up down at the new kid in the GTA, Oakville Porsche. They were great to deal with and were 10% higher on offer for my 991.I am amazed how the 2012 are holding there value.
2011 C2S PDK, platinum silver (easier to keep clean lol) I'll post some more info after I pick it up tomorrow

+1 on platinum silver! I had a black 997.1 I traded for my PS 991. OMG is it easy to keep clean!
Congrats Gerry !! Oakville Pfaff is literally the next exit from where I live. Glad to know you had a good experience there.
Platinum silver is an awesome colour! A breeze to keep it looking clean. I'll have to see that beauty sometime. Should have a GTA 911 meet sometime.
Could you pm me who you're sales person was in case I need anything at Oakville Porsche in the future?
Pictures as soon as you pick her up!

I think I just saw your car in their pre owned inventory - looks extremely sharp!!
Just a word - the 997 generation definitely feels more rear engined and the front feels lighter so it will take a little bit to get used to it before getting the most out of it. It's easier to get the rear end to step out just a little bit too.
Bullet proof cars too - I had 98,000 trouble free km (in 4 years of ownership) on my 997.2 before I switched it up. Cheers.

Ah man!! I'll be at work at that time. No worries though. I'll be servicing my 991 at Oakville most likely though. I drove by the other day and saw that bright blue custom paint to sample 991 they had in the showroom - that is one eye catching 911!
