One comment about lease. I leased from Beverly Hills Porsche. Though I know people were getting their cars with MF of 0.20, mine was 0.22 and they wouldn't budge. The problem was I initially wanted to buy the car and it was a custom and made a last minute decision to lease so I was partly stuck.
The reason the manager gave was that Porsche would not give the 0.20 deal to dealerships that had not updated/modernized their facility. Truth or BS? I don't know, but next time, I'll take that into consideration before I order the car from any specific dealership. If you're buying off the lot, then you can shop the best MF. Residuals should be standardized.
Edmunds.com often has the latest numbers.

sounds great. thx for the help. most likely ill be picking one up from the lot. from my experience porsche wont trade among dealers so i have to pick something from their lot, with that said, hopefully i can find something just right. i change my cars every two years so i dont think i need to custom it since it wont be keeping it unless i really really love it.

how much discount off msrp did you get? (if you dont mind me asking). supposedly porsche tells me they get about 6%, which one guy was willing to split with me in my favor at 3.5% off msrp. not sure if this info is 100% correct.

Walter's in Riverside

I strongly recommend Walter's in Riverside. I've bought or leased 6 Porsches there in the last 7 years. Their sales and service are excellent.

I've always worked with Bob MacDonald in sales. A true gentleman - ex racer - and Porsche enthusiast. Knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. Sales Mgr Pete Laban and GM Ed McRae are all great.

Walter's is heavily involved in sporsoring PCA events throughout Southern California and their GM is a regular at our DE and AX events.

And - their prices are great as well. They put me into my present Panamera at a price that I did not think was possible.

+1 Had a very good experience at Walters as well.. I hate buying cars and it was pretty painless for me.. Did all of my negotiating via email and they were very good about working with me to develop my build...

I got the discount I wanted with no hassle (had a problem with two reps at other SoCal dealers.. I won't trash them here but PM me if you like and I'll be candid about what I didn't appreciate).

I worked with Corey at Walters, who was really great.. and I still chat with from time to time...

Are you doing a build or just buying off of lot? On a build I would think you should be able to easy get 6% off as I got that just by asking (not from this dealer.. but that was another story). 3.5% for a 14' C2/C2S would be insulting..

3.5% was off of a car on the lot. it was through rusnak in pasadena.

About 5% (they also took over my M5 Lease)...but I leased a fully spec'd out 2014 Agate Grey 991 (aero cup kit, red interior, sport exhaust, sport mirrors, sport chrono, SPASM, etc.) and there were no other comparable cars on any lot I could find (and I don't think Porsche usually lets you spec a car this much and then lease because of the drop in residual)....

Why the background? Because my experience may not be typical, and so a more common color, with less options, etc. might allow for a better discount since the dealer might be more motivated to move it off the lot.

Yeah, I had no issues... in that regard.. In general I'd buy the damn thing on Amazon if I could so I wouldn't have to deal with crap. That's sort of why I go out on a limb and am willing to recommend them as it was painless.

I'd have a few suggestions for you when you get turned over to the fiance manager.. Nothing bad, but there is always some up sell that happens at this point anywhere, and it is nice to prepare in advance for the warranty and stuff like that ahead of time..

Seriously unless you are in a hurry, you might consider a build. You can get exactly what you want.. For me I could never find a dealer that had anything on the lot that was what I wanted.. Too much crap I didn't want to pay for.. And Porsche dealers never trade cars it seems.. So build was a great option and pretty easy to do...

In any case, I'd ask for a minimum of 5.5% discount.. as I know you can get that... I negotiated that before I even went out there and I didn't get a blink..

If it was on the lot, I might ask for 6%. But to be honest I didn't work hard to get more5.5...

Good Luck with the town council and area residents allowing that heritage California Mission / Beverly Hills style building to be scraped and turned into a the universal generic Porsche dealership glass and steel grey showroom that looks like it could be plucked from the one in Omaha or Stuttgart ...not gonna happen at that advantageous business location of their showroom.
If there is truth to the MF story, dealership doesnt care as I suspect many of their customers are paying cash anyway at that location vs some of the Porsche dealerships in the LA exurbs .

I highly recommend you take your business anywhere but this dealership. They sold me a car with a material defect and then basically wanted to take major advantage of me for them to trade it out. They are NOT customer service oriented at all...I offered them a very reasonable deal, and they went out of their way to try and rip me off!!!

This is well documented in negative feedback that I have left for them all over the internet...my fiancé, who is a lawyer, wants to sue them for fraud, but I'd rather just put it behind me, move on and enjoy my new car ( that has no defects).

Ryan Perella at BH Porsche is probably the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to Porsche...

Good luck!

Beverly Hills Porsche is actually moving west to Westwood ( near their service department) this building will look just like all the other Porsche dealerships across the country. It is being built now, not sure of the time frame of completion.

Again, Ryan was most helpful to me in deciding on a 991. Low pressure sales tactics and tons of knowledge.
