I actually chatted with Serge prior to purchasing the x-pipe. His initial advice was the same, quality isn't there on the Agency Power exhaust. I went ahead with the purchase anyways since I bought it for half off retail price.
Dan Mermelstein at VIVID Racing sold me the pipes stating they were old stock off the shelf. There was definitely exhaust soot inside the pipes (not much). This was probably a test unit or a return.
The header/cat flange bolts were 3-4mm away from lining up properly with the x-pipe flange holes. But forced them in anyways. Figured the headers are bolted on the block, so whats a crowbar to spread 3-4mm going to hurt.
I don't regret buying the pipes. It sounds better than stock. But I think I'll be upgrading.

I have the sharkwerks and a 7MT. No rattles or drone. Sounds awesome. Mine is the second system produced (they are all serial numbered) fit like a glove. Did I mention it sounds awesome? Oh and it sounds awesome too.

I have the Sharkwerks and it sounds awesome all the right sounds. As for turning it off no need. As others have mentioned no drone either. Great product.

Thanks for all the feedback guys - we are still working to determine what causes the vibration for some people and not for others. Assuming all else is equal (torque on the exhaust bolts, OEM exhaust tips, etc.) it's strange how some people are seeing it on PDK and now manual cars, but others are not. I think we've installed about ten of these locally and nobody has told us of the problem, making it difficult to try and diagnose/fix it.

The difference could be model year (perhaps 2012 cars have a different software version than 2013 with different idle speed etc. which we've seen on 997s), Sport vs. Sport Plus vs. Standard mode, Sports Chrono? There's so many variations and combinations on this car now that it's tricky to pinpoint a cause. It definitely seems related to the low idle speed on the DFI engine and the way it pulses at idle. Almost like a diesel engine, it churns along and moves around quite a bit, and the exhaust will sometimes exagerrate the vibrations that are naturally there. We are not introducing any wild changes to the exhaust system, only reducing back pressure slightly.

If you have purchased this product and the vibration bothers you to the point that it's not worth having on the car, please let us know and we can refund you. For the most part our customers have been very happy with this product so we will continue to sell it. Possibly the difference is in some hardware on the engine or software variation. Please contact us to report any issues or if you have any other questions.

Hey Dan

I have a 2014 MT and have this vibration...see second reply on this post. Only happens when idle fluctuates and drops below 900 rpm. I have rigged 2 straps around the the xpipe to where the original muffler straps were. This helped reduce the vibration. Maybe Sharkwerks can come up straps to reduce this vibration.

I installed a Speedtech x-pipe a month ago on my 2013 MT. No vibration issues, droning or unusually noises. During the install, I did notice a thin aluminum plate that mounts between the muffler and each x-pipe flange . If these plates are inadvertently left off, I can see where the mufflers could vibrate

Just ordered the Sharkwerks crosspipe. Thank you all for the feedback. It was extremely helpful.

I cannot wait to install it!

P.s. manual trans here...so I hope to not experience any idle resonance issues.

If you give me your email or cell # I will send you a video clip of my car so you can hear what yours will sound like. Or if you are in the NYC area I would be happy to meet up with you in person.
