Porsche 911 GTS Coupe Spotted Testing

During this year’s winter test the 6Speed Spies spotted a strange 911 Convertible with a central mounted dual exhaust. At that time, our best guess was that it could be a GTS version that’d enter the market alongside the 991.2— aka 911 facelift.

despite all the rumors and spy shots, I am still personally very convinced that the Carrera GTS will be announced in the current shape and not the face-lifted. I guess a year after announcing the GTS is the correct time to face lift the 991. just a personal thought...

If you follow regular Porsche logic, there will be no GTS before the end of the 991.2 lifecycle !

I don't know if there is any more Porsche logic. They brought out the Cayman GTS as a 2015 model when the Cayman started as a 2014. It seems like the 991 GTS will be earlier than the 997 version. The question is how early.

and if am not mistaken, the new Panamera GTS was announced together with the face lifted Panamera lineup, I guess for the 991 they will either announce it before face lifting or just after announcing the 991.2

I guess you guys are right. Old logic doesn't really apply anymore nowadays. We'll see what Porsche comes up with :-)
