Was the price for the wheels in lieu of the S wheels or will you get both sets of wheels and tires?

For that kind of $$$ its gotta be both sets of wheels.

A suggestion: Find someone who wants a different set of Porsche factory wheels to buy from you...order those and when your car shows up, you have them pre-sold.

I did that with the 19"s that came with my car. Loaded off the truck and straight to the wheel place to have them swapped out for 20" Sports classics.

Good luck!

PS: Those Fuchs (which I personally don't like the look of) look amazing on the "retro" look of the Targa...I think you truly have a winner there!!!!

The 20" Carrera Classic wheels are on my build sheet, so I'd get those with the car and swap them out for the 50th wheels, but would "own" both.

The $7500 is just for the 50th wheels, but that's only a quote and not negotiated. The Carrera Classic wheels are already included in the price of my car on order. I've purchased many cars from this dealer so I may have some wiggle room on $$. And I may already have someone who wants the Carrera Classic wheels. The parts manager at my dealer is suggesting that I not order the 50th wheels until the launch car arrives so they can confirm that they will fit. He said it can be a little funky with these one-off models like the 911 50th Anniv car and it's wise to triple check.

I was told the same thing when I inquired. Also there are after markets that are probably better quality so consider that. Would look great either way!!

Perfect addition. That interior is magnificent. I almost went with the two tone as well but liked the look of the white instrument dials against the red dash versus the black.

Tint or don't tint the new Targa? Has a factory green/grey hue to the windows so they come lightly tinted.

The appeal of the targa is that open and clean glass look but curious if others think a darker tint would make it look to solid and take away from the designs intent.

No wrong answers obviously just opinion.

I'd do the painted wheels and avoid the 50th ones for better looks. As far as interior goes, get whatever color you love. If you're flexible and not 100% decided I'd avoid the red. Very very tough for resale in the future. I see red interiors sit and sit for sale. Even new ones at dealers. Just an opinion though! Congrats on the build!

*** See (991 Targa 4S post) He just posted a pic of a tinted Targa on here. He went darker like 30% which I think looked good. If you want lighter than that go with 20%. That's a decision you can save until after delivery though!

If you search around here and rennlist there are a few Targas with the sport techno wheels which look great on the targa. I also love the turbo wheels which are now available. The classic wheels are everywhere and something different will help this special car be even more special.

That's the conclusion I came up with when ordering my TT. I wound up adding a few more items that really made it special. If you add like $10,000 to the price you are only talking about an extra $100 or so per month. Those 50th wheels look incredible. Go 50th or sport techno if u want to save the money. Either way you'll have one sweet car.
