Current discounts?

Looking at 2013s and 2014s in current dealer inventory - if there's anyone out there who's transacted recently, I'd greatly appreciate feedback on the 991 you got and the deal you negotiated.

Thanks in advance!

On the 2013's particularly, you should be able to get a good deal. I just bought a untitled 2013, sales manger's personal car with 2300 miles on it, CPO, 3-year 30K service, all leather, fully loaded with most all options for 17% off sticker.

I ordered my car, so the discount is a bit different from an in-stock unit. Plus, you (the OP) are in California, where I understand the market is not as customer friendly as it is in America so that would affect your pricing.

That said, discounts from 12% on up should be doable on left-over 2013, and I would expect 6-8% or better on 2014, depending on factors (dealer volume, if it's a turbo, 50th, etc.). That's based on my shopping and research when I ordered mine.

Thanks for the feedback.

Looking for a C2S PDK with Sport Chrono and *without* Power Steering Plus. Aside from a few colors with poor WAF, I'm fairly flexible. I found a couple '13s locally - both very well loaded and at decent discount (15% and 23% off, respectively) but showed up and the dealer didn't seem tremendously motivated to sell the cars (perplexing).

I've got one offer of 6% off on a '14, was wondering if I should push for more. Sounds like I should. There's 32 cars in the state (by my count) that would work from a color and option perspective, so it seems like a buyer's market right now.

Anything else I should know about negotiating a 991 deal?

Take your time, let them come to you, email only to negotiate, negotiate with many dealers, don't get emotional, have your financing in order, don't do a trade...those are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head...

All great tips - with this much inventory available, it's pretty easy to not get emotional.

Already have two dealers working, will be expanding that list later today.

++1, The 2013 CAB that I recently purchased I had been watching since early February, waiting for dealer to become motivated to sell it. Finally with dealers currently taking orders for 2015 models, it was time to move mine off the lot. Good luck, play hardball with the dealers on the 13's. Financing should be no more than 2.25-2.49 with good credit score. My dealer matched the Credit Union rate for me with a major bank.

WAF?

Buying a 911 is just like buying any other car, it's just a lot more expensive. Well, that and the dealer has more markup than most cars, so there is plenty of discount available if you can motivate them to use it.

You saw a car you liked with a 23% discount, that would be one to work on.

(W)ife (A)cceptance (F)actor. Sorry for being obtuse.

Agreed on motivating them to dip into discount. I've gotten some big (34%) discounts in the past on my prior Porsches, but given that the economy's a lot stronger than the last two times I've bought, was wondering what to expect.
