Storing Sound B&T Adjustments - Bose - 991 PCM

When attempting to adjust the BASE/TREBLE on the Bose, system will not save the settings. As an example if I adjust the iPod to B+2, T+3 and go to FM and adjust B+2, T+3, when I return to iPod it is B+0, T+0. On the 997.2 Bose everything was saved until you manually adjusted it. Any suggestions? Is this just a software bug?

Are you hitting the save button on the door each time? For example hit save on the door after you make ipod adjustments. Go to radio, make adjustments, hit save on the door again.

Yes, I have tried saving to #3, but still does not retain adjustments. I had picked that procedure up from from some older forum posting. The manual is totally clueless on this. Thanks for your suggest though.

What I was finding is that after I got them all setup, my key settings would be reloaded after i reinserted key.. That would effectively blow away all my audio settings.

So I had to manually store my audio settings to my key, since I didn't have autostore enabled

So to be clear.. after you set all of your Bose/Audio related settings.. Then press 1) save then 2) Key on the door memory buttons.. This is for manual store operation. If you have autostore on, then you don't have to worry about it, as the setttings automatically get stored to you key.

So I had to store my audio settings to my key, they still get reloaded each time I insert the ignition key, but at least they are stored. I think there are some PCM settings that control auto loading of key related settings.

Do you have KEYLESS entry? I do maybe that is the problem?

We all have keyless entry, I assume however you mean keyless Ignition.. (Entry and Drive) but NO I do not.

However You bring up a good question.. but I don't think that should matter... as your settings are still saved/restored from the key..

If you have the autostore feature enabled (in PCM) your settings are automatically saved to your key. In my case I didn't have that enabled thus each time I put the key back in, it simply restored my previously stored settings over what I just set.

If you don't have autostore enabled, then you need to manually store your settings to the key by pressing Store, then key on the door to manually save the settings.

Thanks everyone, finally got it to save settings for both keys, 997.2 was a much more straight forward procedure.
