Dad, ACC is not for roundabouts ....

First time for my 16y old son to be in the 911. Wanted to show him few things the car can do.... Adaptive Cruise Control on, car nicely and smoothly drives itself in the traffic and here we go, a roundabout is coming, ACC still on and car suddenly accelerates hardly in the roundabout...

Well after the initial fright reaction, it was actually fun.... Anyone had the same experience?

A few lol. I use it frequently in traffic and have learned when i need to 'kill' it.... E.g Junctions, roundabouts, car in front turns left or right (because the ACC takes a few seconds to realise car is moving out of lane so it over-compensates the braking). On balance it is a spectacular feature and all these features are same with regular CC but as with all aids... They are just that... You still need to know when it helps and when it hinders lol....
Keep using it and keep enjoying it when the traffic doesn't permit sporty driving
