AWE Tuning’s answer to 991 Wind Buffeting. Introducing “The Foiler™,” coming soon.

You know that sound that happens when your window is down at speed, that makes it feel like your head is going to implode?

That’s called Wind Buffeting. It happens when you’re moving fast, and it’s quite the issue on the newest generation of Porsche 991s (including our new in house 991 TT, more on that soon!). So instead of just letting our brains melt under the pressure, we did something about it.

Coming soon, the AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser. The simple, elegant solution to wind buffeting in Porsche 991s.

Unobtrusive design, simple install and impressive results.

Wondering if the 981 Cayman has the same buffeting issue and if your fix would work for them too if this is the case (do not know if it would fit the 981). Maybe it could even be beneficial when someone is driving a Boxster with the top down

Cool. The buffeting is better w/ the sportdesign mirrors but not gone completely, curious to see this.

Have not experienced any buffeting on my TTS. I have the sport design mirrors. Maybe the car's big rear end channels the side wind better?

I'm very intrigued to see, can you tell anymore detail such as where it sits on the car?

Sport design mirrors solves the problem but if you didn't order the car that way it's a 1,500 fix all in. I did it. Very curious to see what AWE did here

The Sport Design mirrors don't completely solve the issue; the video was recorded on a car that came with them equipped from the factory.

If I gave any more details, I'd totally give it away.

That being said, it will look stock to the unsuspecting bystander who doesn't know their Porsches.

I can confirm that the Sport Design mirrors help the buffeting but don't resolve it completely.

I am anxious to see what I hope is an "affordable" solution from AWE. Any ballpark on price yet?

Final material choices have yet to be made, so I can't report back on a ballpark price yet.
