Ctek battery charges.
Ctek battery charges.
I am looking at getting a ctek battery charger, leaning toward the multi 4.3 as I believe it is the same you get from Porsche, but what I do not see is what accessories comes with the charger. On the web site, it looks like there is one branded with the Barrett Jackson name that the picture shows clamps and terminal eyelets.
Does anyone know what if any connection accessories comes with their chargers?
Thanks

With my last one I got from Porsche it came with the clamps, the piece you can hook on the battery and the piece that plugs into the power port, which is the one I use, if I ever use it. I normally try to put it on one of the 3 cars if it has not been driven in a week or so. By using the power plug option you don't have to worry about getting extra ends to attach to the battery. The only PITA part is that your power port has to be able to supply power when the car is off in order to accept power going back into it. So if it shuts off with the car, you can't use it to charge the car. On the Porsche I believe the one that doesn't shut off with the car is the one on the passenger side where your left leg would be.
I got my ctek charger from amazon. It came with the clamp style and some other connect (small loop). I bought the cigarette adapter separately and use that on the connector inside the armrest console in the middle. I believe it works since I see the light going to green after a night's charge. But then who knows, maybe I'm doing it wrong as the other post mentioned it needs to be the one by your leg. I don't have the smoking package btw, not sure if that matters and I don't lock the car when its trickling either.

You can also use the direct connect and always have the plug at the ready. Would be useful if the battery goes dead and you can plug in from the hood area easily.

Did you order that separately?
yes along with ctek comfort indicator extension
Yeah, I just ordered those both..
Not sure if I need the extension, but I didn't want to have to run the 115VAC cord (which is kinda a large diameter) through the door jamb or under the frunk hood..
I wasn't exactly sure if the cigarette adapter would work properly with the 7002, since it has a pretty high current output capability that probably exceeds the fuse on the car's cigarette adapter. But there must be something in line with the CTEK that regulates/limits that when the cig adapter is in use (instead of the battery clips or direct connection).
We will see I guess how well it works.
