Trapster vs Waze
ChuckJ
Good to know, I also tire of hearing about cars on the side of the road.
I find the turn by turn directions using WAZE much better and more accurate than the maps in the PCM. Perhaps I have outdated maps? I used both on a recent trip around NYC and Westchester and had more confidence in the WAZE directions, they seemed to take short cuts and dynamically route based on traffic conditions.

Online Waze and Trapster maps
I used the online version of Waze's map to investigate one of my frequently traveled routes. It did not show two fixed red-light cameras that have been in place for over a year. Trapster's online map shows them both.
In planning a route in advance through NYC, Trapster's online map showed several red-light cameras that Waze's online map did not.
Is a test based on the Waze and Trapster online maps unreasonable? Perhaps I should actually drive at least the local route with both and see if Waze identifies the red-light cameras then.
I am not interested in navigation, just the ability to locate LE hazards.
