Anybody take apart the interior yet?

I have a 14 C2.

I want to change my seat belts to red or yellow.

Was curious if anyone had taken apart the interior of a 991 yet or swap belts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Can't help you with seat belts, but have had the center console apart, the PCM unit pulled from the dash, and recently the driver side door apart (window/mirror button unit). I've also pulled the rear seat backs out, carpeting in that area....

Are you doing anything other than seat belt replacement?

I have a White & Black 13 S Cab and just ordered the Guards Red seat belts from Suncoast Porsche. I found they are very difficult to get and are not stocked. They are ordered directly from Germany and said the wait will be around a month or two! I will not attempt to change them myself, but most likely have the dealer do it, since it is a life saving device. Also, Changing out all the gauges and chrono to guards red as well to compliment. If you have any specific questions, PM me anytime. :-)

On the door panel, I'm surprised that the horizontal trim piece that is carbon, silver, black, etc. cannot be ordered and changed. I inquired about this, and have been told it's not available. You need to order the entire door panel. I assume it just clicks in? Surprised it's not an upgradable trim piece like the other ones. Bizarre

STG- I also had asked about adding the trim pieces to my last C2. I was disappointed the whole panel has to be ordered as well. If enough interest possibly Suncoast can come up with a retrofit?

Scarabb- At the same time I looked into the door panel I checked on changing the gauges as well as the sports chrono dial. The dealer was happy to do this but I was informed by doing so you lose the warranty on the gauge cluster once you open it up. Had you heard otherwise?

I would love to have the aluminum trim piece running horizontally across the panel like the one pictured. I have all the aluminum trim on the interior already.

I'm not even sure if that piece can be removed, or if it's glued/permanently attached to the panel.

Regardless, been told the whole panel needs to be purchased which sucks!

I am wondering how much it costs at the dealer to swap the seat belt to another color?
Its probably too complicated to be a DIY....

Super I just had is done on my turbo. I changed the black belts to red. It was 1200 for front and rear factory belts and 7-750 in labor. It takes about 5 hours.

Thank you for the info. Very nice. Love the contrast with the black interior.
