my plan is that when I take the car in for annual service, they can just replace the front lip (somebody told me it's $50-$75, I don't remember exactly though). I'm happy to pay that much for an annual "all I can scrape" subscription.

Start to worry went you scrape underneath the painted plastic bumper.

One thing I noticed is that I was always "just" slightly scraping on a dip getting into my driveway. When I first got he car it never happened and then occasionally then almost always unless I completely creep-ed slowly through it.

Then I upped my tire pressure about 5 lbs all around from the comfort pressures.. And now I noticed I don't scrape any more. I was kind of surprised it made a difference but I suppose in some cases all it takes is a couple of mm's ..
