991 on track at Thunderhill
What data are you able to capture from the OBDII connection? I've found that my RaceKeeper system pulls much less data from the Porsche's OBDII connection compared to that of my former M3. I would be able to get all the data by doing a direct/hardwired CAN bus connection to the car's ECU with the RaceKeeper, but I'm not sure I want to do that. Was wondering if the AiM system did better with the 991 via the OBDII.

Yes, I have the front third of the car covered and strongly recommend it, especially if you are going to track the car. Lots of rubber bits and debris hit the front of the car at high speed. It is harder to clean than paint, but I figure after about 3-4 years I will just replace the film and the paint will continue to look new.
Glad to hear that you plan on tracking your car, and looking forward to seeing your videos down the road.
Search this forum and Rennlist and you will find lots of folks discussing paint protection film.
I'm interested in what you think about driving without PSM. Does the car have an excessive over-steer in turns or is it relatively neutral? I'm driving a 991 S in a DE this weekend and was thinking about doing without. What are advantages?
The advantages of PSM are you have much less risk of totalling your car if you make a mistake. There are no prizes or bravery points in DE... My advice is don't even think about it unless you have a lot of experience on the given track in the given car.
