Maybe in Cali, but if you order from back east in the middle of winter I have gotten close to 8-10% offered for a ordered to spec car. Remember, a ordered car never even sits on the lot. In some respects a ordered car is cheaper for the dealer than a car that is on their lot and has to be insured, etc.

I offered a dealer 12% off MSRP for a 2014 TTS cab. They accepted, but then sold the car the next day to another customer in what I believe was an honest oversight. They're giving me 7% off on a 2015 TTS cab coming in at Monty's end. I think I got the better end of the deal!
