991 C4S dimensions
Hello all.
It is my first post however I have been reading it for a lot of time. Great forum.
Can you help me and tell me the lenght between the front wheels and the front bumper (standard and sport design) on the 991 C4S? The picture is an example from a BMW 4!
Also could you tell me the ground clearance of the standard front bumper and the sport design one for the C4S?
I am trying to evaluate the angle of slope in this car because I have a steep garage entrance.
Thank you and best regards.

Don't know if its available for a C4S, but there is an option for a front lift for steep driveways or speed bumps. Someone else will probably chime in on this. I think its called something like a front axle lift kit.
I have a 4S with Sport PASM, and I have been in very steep garages, and never got stuck. If you are a little worried, you can always drive-in with the wheels at an angle. That helps a lot. Show me a photo of your drive way, I can probably tell you if it's ok.

I have a steep curb and take it at an angle with my C4S with standard bumper. I also did a not overly scientific measurement in my garage of the distance you specify and got 37" or 94cm. The ground clearance of the bumper is about 6.5" or 16.5cm. Remember also, the underside of the bumper is black plastic which is designed to wear away and may be replaced if desired without replacing the entire bumper.
I only Porsche I had low front end problems with where my two GT-3's. I have a 991 with sport PASM and all the other suspension options (20mm lower than standard ) and I feel like it is so much higher than the GT-3 was.
The lift system is only available on the GT-3, Pan GTS, and 918 as far as I know. Maybe others know better....chime in.

For preventing the front end from scraping on steep driveway aprons or other steep grades, here's a trick I learned from my days driving the 997S.
If you stiffen the shock setting by depressing the PASM button, the stiffer dampening will reduce the amount of vertical travel the front end exhibits during such transitions.
Of course, the 997 had a relatively longer front overhang than the 991, and so it was always a concern when encountering steep grade transitions, and so I got in the habit of always being ready to change the shock setting. The 991, not so much, as it has a much shorter overhang. But the habit stuck and I still find myself going for the button whenever I encounter a steep grade up ahead, whether I need to or not.

One thing I noticed (on my C2S)...
I always tended to scrape my front end just slightly going in or out of my garage because of a dip right in front of it.
Because I have a very narrow 1 car garage at my condo I can't really come in at an angle like others have suggested...
So I upped my tire pressure a few PSI from the comfort range to the normal range.. eliminated my problem.. I also turn of PASM as well .. although I'm not completely sure if that makes a difference...
Now when I start scraping I know it is time to check the tire pressure, lol...
