seat trim cover cracking
Yes that Dealer chuck, " the shop Foreman told me that the seat was over streetched because someone had put excesive weight/force on it" when it was fold, that was his visual inspection, that caused the trims to crack because the seat is now folding more then what it supposed to, some interior part is broken and now the seat goes all the way down and that is causing stress on the trims, if he replaces the trims and he doesn't fix the mechanism the trims will crack again, he did mentioned that its a lot of work getting the seat apart, Maybe its to much work for them, but it was going to be customer out of pocket
I know thats the answer I was expecting from them, but I received " we only did it once and Porsche told us it was the last time" because its something that it was damaged because you over extended the seat- that means when you fold the seat if you jump in the back and press the seat harder it will go more then what is supposed to fold , so I guess you need to go in the back and not touch the seat or if you are a heavy person be real carefull
Have you owned the car since new? Sorry it's happened to you. I hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction. Since the seat back or hinge is disfigured to a degree, is the seat in any way out of normal alignment?
Bummer!

Its Park P. But probably I'll try Plano, not sure if they document everything on the computer, my S.A at Park Place moved to Plano but He moved to another dealer
do you have a good S.A Chuck that can recommend?
I think its operators fault too of course since we are the ones braking the thing but again we need special instructions to be carefull, same thing with ***** or painted plastics when they peel off because we are using them, warranty covers them, its just from regular everyday use, I think, maybe I'm wrong, the seats are fine is just the trims won't snap together and also when folding the seat it won' stop like a brand new one. Again thanks for all the help and support on this forum

Head tech is Cliff Blackshear. He's great! He finds reasons to support, rather than reasons to deny.
Good luck.

Thank you Chuck I appreciate it
You may be able to use this to your advantage and state that this is a potential safety issue. Don't know if this is purely cosmetic, but the fact that seat moves forward more that it should tells me that there something broken and this could be a safety issue. Tell them your safety concern and I would think this would prompt them to fix it (I would hope!).

Key to any service request is what the customer says concerns him as well as description of the problem- What's the problem and stating any safety concerns (if any). It's important that these are documented in writing and provided to the customer at the time. Speculation of how the issue happened is secondary and should not be moved to the forefront and embellished by the customer.

Seat mechanism is supported to have some stop tabs that limit how far it tilts forward. They either break easily or were defective on mine from the beginning. So unless they replace that part of the seat mechanism, you'll keep cracking these pieces.
thanks for the info, yes I have both sides damaged, my dealer didn't want to replace or cover under warranty, Im going to another one tomorrow, did yours got replaced?
update.
today I texted my S.A from another dealer, last week he ordered the parts for the seats, he answers this:
area rep will be here next wednesday, can you come in that day, Porsche had already denied the claim for trim on seats still trying to figure out why.
