Yes that Dealer chuck, " the shop Foreman told me that the seat was over streetched because someone had put excesive weight/force on it" when it was fold, that was his visual inspection, that caused the trims to crack because the seat is now folding more then what it supposed to, some interior part is broken and now the seat goes all the way down and that is causing stress on the trims, if he replaces the trims and he doesn't fix the mechanism the trims will crack again, he did mentioned that its a lot of work getting the seat apart, Maybe its to much work for them, but it was going to be customer out of pocket

If this is what happened, I'd say it's clearly operator error and I can see why the dealer doesn't want to fix it at their expense. Although Porsche could have made the part stronger most assuredly since not everyone is thin and well balanced, and so conscientious climbing in and out. I've climbed in and out of my 997 rear seats a time or two to clean back there and never once put any weight on the seat backs getting in or out. You can't treat car parts like they're indestructible. But ultimately just another testimonial as to the near uselessness of the 911 rear seat compartment.

Have you owned the car since new? Sorry it's happened to you. I hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction. Since the seat back or hinge is disfigured to a degree, is the seat in any way out of normal alignment?

Bummer!

Park Place or Plano. If it is Plano I'd be surprised and I'd be willing to call a friend there to check it out.

I think its operators fault too of course since we are the ones braking the thing but again we need special instructions to be carefull, same thing with ***** or painted plastics when they peel off because we are using them, warranty covers them, its just from regular everyday use, I think, maybe I'm wrong, the seats are fine is just the trims won't snap together and also when folding the seat it won' stop like a brand new one. Again thanks for all the help and support on this forum

Yes, talk to Issac Madrid at Plano Porsche (old Boardwalk). He is very responsive (mobile: 469-644-4773). Tell him Chuck Jacobus referred you to him.
Head tech is Cliff Blackshear. He's great! He finds reasons to support, rather than reasons to deny.
Good luck.

You may be able to use this to your advantage and state that this is a potential safety issue. Don't know if this is purely cosmetic, but the fact that seat moves forward more that it should tells me that there something broken and this could be a safety issue. Tell them your safety concern and I would think this would prompt them to fix it (I would hope!).

Key to any service request is what the customer says concerns him as well as description of the problem- What's the problem and stating any safety concerns (if any). It's important that these are documented in writing and provided to the customer at the time. Speculation of how the issue happened is secondary and should not be moved to the forefront and embellished by the customer.

Yes sir , to bad most of the time they don't document instead saying we were unable to duplicate the problem.

Yep, that's why I always ride with them and get them to document it- even the guys at Plano Porsche.

Seat mechanism is supported to have some stop tabs that limit how far it tilts forward. They either break easily or were defective on mine from the beginning. So unless they replace that part of the seat mechanism, you'll keep cracking these pieces.

update.
today I texted my S.A from another dealer, last week he ordered the parts for the seats, he answers this:

area rep will be here next wednesday, can you come in that day, Porsche had already denied the claim for trim on seats still trying to figure out why.
