new to PDK and need some help

Just got my 991 and I'm new to pdk since my last 997.2 and Cayman had Manual..

just wanted to see if this is how the thing feels..

1 when moving from P to D and then from D to R or R to D I can hear a click

2 when driving and going to a complete stop the car feels like a little engine braking, maybe all this is just normal..

thanks

My 2012 does not have a loud click and the only time I feel downshifting is in sport and sport+.

Same as what ChuckJ said.. No Clicks that I have ever noticed..

There is a lot of engine braking as well as downshift that occurs when decelerating in Sport (or +).. But don't notice any when in Normal PDK. (One reason I like using sport in the rather hilly area I live as it keeps from having to be on the brakes as much on steeper inclines).

Is the click coming from the engine or the shifter? Sometimes if you don't hold the button all the way in and also don't get it right in the slot it will click. Has happened to me a few times.

No real "clicks" here either, but i do have the feeling of resistance and a minor thump going through P - R - N - D. So I presume what you are feeling is normal.
Engine breaking coming to a stop ? Not exactly, I'd say the opposite. Like it is still trying to push me forward when I want to stop, hence the difficulty of coming to a stop without a little jerk at the end. I "manually" put it in N just for that reason. Hate that jerkyness.

When in auto mode the PDK will downshift on its own thriugh the gears when slowing/breaking.

I had the metal click until about 1800 miles then it vanished. As for #2, I only feel braking when in the sport or + modes. FWIW, MY 991 became a completely different ride after 2500 miles. It seem to find its comfort zone and just settled in.

I was surprised at how much engine breaking I got when slowing down with PDK. But I like it now.
