Great looking car! How is the wind noise with the targa top down? Any more or less than the cab?

 

Less noise than cab

 

Well, over the years I've had 2 Boxsters, 3 911 Cabs and 2 AM Vantage Roadsters, and all had more buffeting and noise than I experience in the Targa. Maybe it's just me, but it's not an issue at all and it feels every bit as open-air as the Cabs.

That may be the next car for my wife when I sell her 997.2 C4S coupe. I really like the looks of the new Targa. I have never been a Targa fan before -ever.

Is the wind deflector on the top of the windshirld easy to extend and retract?

 

Just pops up, closes when top goes shut

There are two height levels that you can select. When you put the top down the deflector is not extended. To select the lower extended position you just press down on the left side of the bar and it pops up. The higher level is trickier to engage and doesn't always work when you hit the bar. You usually have to hit it a couple times. To retract it you just press down all the way.
