If you are going to be a track rat, then maybe..and it's a small maybe, if you are going to keep it on the highway for the majority of its life then no, it's a waste of money...unless you have extra to get rid of.

Is it worth it? Depends on why you want it. You want to extra power with the PSE? Then I think so. Retrofit takes about a week and the engine must come out and taken apart. It is major surgery on the car, not just a couple of parts and twists of a screw driver Afterward you will have extra power from 4500rpms onward. You will notice it on the track.

Is it worth it for resale value? No.
It is worth it to say you have an exclusive upgrade? Sure is.
Will most people know what it is? Half will.

It is cheaper to retrofit, but I feel if I could have added it while ordering, I would have. It simple wasn't available until almost a year after it came out in US. I was able to get my dealer to match the price and had them install it.

My car is not a lease and I don't plan to resell anytime soon. If yours is a lease or you plan to drop it in a couple of years, not worth it.

Actually, the X51 is probably more worthwhile for highspeed cruising than it is for the track, esp. short tracks or autocrosses.

Why? Everything I have seen is the extra HP does not come into play until the upper rpm range, most owners that I know that run these cars as daily drivers do not on the normal drive and keep their cars rpm up were the benefits for the X51 come into play. I guess if you drive daily at above 3000 rpm, then yea, X51 may be good but you will also get really bad gas mileage. I keep up fine on my daily commute at 75 mph with any porsche equipped with a X51 package...I keep up with them on twisties also..

44 WHP was my own mistake, I mistaked the original "41" for a "44") in a quick forum post - honest mistake.

After there was much debate, the engineers re-evaluated the dyno data and realized that the dyno jumped during the baseline and skewed the numbers. We updated all of our information and reposted the dynos for all to see.

They look like they take pride in what they do and are craftsman. The rest, I've laid out.
Thank you

Really, that's only 3 days.

It's not worth it to me.

I'd rather spend the money upgrading to a 991 GT3, or just wait for the 992 in 2016 which will have an increase in power.

They make many promises to get the sale. Joe F. is quite the oil salesman! But we are the fools for continuing to buy his stuff
