Techart II wing question

FDoes this wing block the rear view window? For example I know the GT3 RS window did and sharkwerks made a version that doesn't. But does this techart wing do it too?

When I get home this weekend and get the car out, I'll take a pic. Been so long since I drove it, I can't remember.

Thanks. Yea a pic would be great if you could capture what is seen by looking at your rear view mirror and just what it looks like when turning your head around as well.

Is this wing just not a popular mod or something? No responses.....

The price out weighs the look IMO
And the stigma of a wing on a non gt3/2 car is that of being a poser. When It's all said and done, its cheaper just to get the real thing.

So why does anyone then get the aero kit or the dumb ducktail on their 911? I'm trying to see if it's worth getting this. Because it's 100x better looking than the aero kit for the GTS. Also the 911 just looks worlds better with the wing.

Techart type II spoiler : $3,559 w/ out paint and install + potential fitment issues.
Not the best looking wing on a 911 but not bad

OEM cup wing + front lip (no bumper) - $2800 w/ out paint and perfect fitment. Calling it a real cup wing is a long shot IMO

By the time your finished at the body shop, which almost always costs more than expected, and the parts are technically "used" so those have lost value as well (more unexpected cost) aka grey area of modding. All I'm saying is that money can easy add up and could be a big chunk of the down payment for a gt3 that has the wing of your dreams

If someone has to worry about making a car look "worlds better" maybe it wasn't the car for them in the first place?

It is. Since it's a practical sports car. But I always thought the 911's look like proper sports cars with the wing. It just completes the look. Without it, it kinda looks like someone kicked it in the ***.

GT3 is too much. Not willing to spend 150k yet. I will for the next one. I can get my GTS build at 115k after discounts. I was looking towards alternatives to the aero kit, since I really just don't like the ducktail. But looks like then I'll probably just leave it out.

Also I don't know what OEM cup wing you are referring to. I sure as hell don't want to stick a GT3 wing on a GTS.

Found some good pics online. Don't think visibility would be an issue. Maybe slightly?

I like the lower rear bumper diffuser and side skirts!

Yea I seen the pics from sharkwerks website. Doesn't really capture the right angle. Though I think I should probably call them. But now I thin this won't work on a GTS. The engine cover is different now. If you order the GTS with the aero kit, they use the normal engine cover with it. So I'm wondering if that is for a reason.

The new grill slats are close together and less ventilation for the engine. With the wing, duck, etc. I'm sure the airflow is compromised.

Regards, Your ugly duckling friend. Ha ha.

* p.s. More pics added to above post.

Same grill as the 50th. on the GTS, but all black.

Interesting. A C2S with TechArt wing and skirts. Not sure where the rear diffuser came from.

That car was built by Pfaff Tuning in Toronto and it is for sale, more pics + detail here. There is also a video on the Pfaff Tuning website about the car build.

According to the ad it has a 'Techart Centre Exit exhaust, RSR style rear Valance'. Looks rather nice...
