New C4S

After a long search and a nice deal finally have my C4S. 2014 Black on Black, PDK, Sport Chrono, PDCC. So far very impressed with comfort and overall driving dynamics. Def a big step above my 997C2S.

A couple things I was uncertain about were base seats and base stereo. Thankfully after driving the car both are a non issue for me. Base seats are great and stereo sounds good, I'm not a true audiophile I'll take the PDCC over both.

Had a set of Michelin Alpins put on yesterday. Def a must have in winter climates. Not sure if I will make it through full break in. SA said 1400 miles gonna be tough. I keep telling myself demo cars are driven hard so what's the big deal.

Bottom line glad I put in the work to get this great car and thanks to some of those that answered some very helpful questions along the way.

Welcome to the club! Car looks great! You will be amazed at how well the 4 handles slippery conditions with those Alpin kicks. Biggest issue I have is the stone they put down on the roads around here. Sounds awful hitting all up under the car and the mufflers! But sounds worse than it is....
Post more pics when you get them.

Thanks really loving it, and definitely impressive the way it has been dealing with the elements.

I agree! The noise from things hitting the mufflers is crazy loud. It sure would feel like a more luxurious car if they would have built in a complete wheel well liner.

Watch That Oil Temperature

Congratulations! Enjoy your beautiful car: just make sure that your oil temp is at the normal operating temperature before playing. That's the real secret to maintaining a healthy engine.

Thanks Tina, and yes I agree with you 100% about oil temp. I always keep an eye on it. Just takes a little longer on those nice cold mornings!

For the time being I am running power cord from my radar detector to 12V in glove box. I have noticed when the car is turned off the radar detector does not go off. I thought the power would go off when the car is turned off allowing me to leave detector on. I turned car on this morning and detector went on which means i forgot to turn it off. So I am wondering if it goes off after a certain amount of time.

The car turns off the accessory sockets after about 15 - 20 minutes. Also, depending on what detector you have, you can program it to turn itself off after a certain amount of time (for the Escort, I think it is about 4 hours).
