If you're talking about the yellow RS29's, they are ok for the street and awesome on the track. However, they will squeal like a dump truck on regular street driving since they take longer to heat up.

Cannot answer the brake dust question, but we do list these pads on our website:

More than a bit noisy... they are way too loud for the street unless you don't mind stares in your direction every time you come to a stop.

They can be excessive loud. Loud enough that even with the windows up, my wife and I found them teeth clenching at times.

So I would just switch them out for track days and deal with when I got back.

Now I have the Brembo big brake kit with Pagids. They still squeak at times, but nowhere near as loud.

I noticed at-least 50% less brake dust with the RS29's. If you're looking to reduce brake dust, have you tried the Amor All wheel protectant? It works like cooking spray if you will and helps significantly.

About the noise, I have heard others with the Pagid Blacks, that are as quiet as OEM and also those with the Pagid Yellows that seemed quieter than mine. They may just have to be broken in longer than normal pads. I didn't have them very long as I switched cars.

This video explains the squeal I experienced. Like a dump truck!! For dual purpose, I would try the pagid blacks first.

Wow thanks White Rock, a video is worth 10,000 words. A friend of mine with Pagid yellows was yelled at by a motorcyclist he was stopping behind last fall. They bike guy thought he was going to be taken out!

Don't they get quieter when the rotors get real hot? Aren't these race track pads?

They do, but typically only at temps achieved at the track. However, the OP is asking about daily driving, in which they will continue to squeak because they normally wouldn't get that hot.
