Xpel worth it

I'm about to get Xpel put on my car 15 TTS. How many people have put it on their car? Seems not to yellow is what they claim. Is it really worth it.

I know when I owned a 10 Cayman S, I got a little nick in the bumper after 17k miles without it.

I'm OCD about a clean/waxed car, so not sure if waxing/polishing on thin sheet is good. Obviously Porsche does use it on parts of their cars.

Take your car from the dealer right to the xpel shop to have it done. I had the bumper, hood, rear fenders done on my black 991 for a year now and no yellow issues except a few tiny nicks in the plastic from flying road crap. My 2007 boxster hood looked like it was sand blasted after two years without it so i had this one done right away. I am moving to Orlando FL so the real test is how it will hold up with the heat and sun im guessing it wont last long but still worth it.

Do it and do the entire car.
Protecion benefit is obvious.
However, its the easy maintenance that makes it worth it.
It stays swirl free (even on DBM), so your paint polishing days are over.
Aside from normal washing, it only needs tar remover on stuborn residue and then just a quick detailing spray every now and then while drying.

Just dont get ripped of on install, do your research on which shop to use.

If you are OCD and worried about chips and nick on your bumper, hood, fenders - get it. You will not be sorry.

I'm a fan. Already saved me several chips based on what I've observed on my front bumper. Same advice - dealer to finisher ASAP.

The nano will not help on a rock chip. I did both and am glad I did. The maintenance is lower and people can't tell where the film starts or ends.

I had Cquartz done to my c4s and 22ple on my PTT the 22ple is much better than CQuartz.

The both were applied over the film and on the prices that did not get film.

I've had it done on most of my cars. Full hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, doors and rocker panels. Very worth it in my eyes.

Worth it for sure

I believe this is the only one that heals scratches and can be polished. And you definitely want both features. Had it for over two years and no signs of discoloration.

If you dislike chips, get it done. I had the whole car done, over the top, but that's me.
I did wax the car well so it had a good shine before the Xpel installation. I recommend having it done at installers shop.

I agree that the quality of the installer is the most critical point. I also like a nano over the top of it as it helps shine and easier to clean.

I have had the Xpel installed with nano for almost three years and it has held up well. The only downside is that the upkeep will always cost more for the upkeep. For me, it is worth it.

I am having conflicting comments on yellowing of the film on a white car especially in hot climates where I live.
Any info out there?

The 3M stone guards that come from Porsche are garbage. They yellow the first few months.

For a white car, go with Suntek film. The clarity of it and non yellowing can't be beat. Better than Xpel. Especially with the orange peel look and quality of install.

Both of the above films are very good are maintaining the clearness. I don't think you'd see any changes in a white car for at least 10yrs, where if you still had the car then, the film would need replacing anyway for upkeep.
