Ive had polished rims repaired before and they just dont work out. Where do you guys source new rims?

Look over on Ebay -- if you are looking to replace one wheel, you can many times find factory wheels on Ebay at a reasonable cost. If you need all 4, then just go aftermarket....

What about the tire? Are you concerned about the damage to the sidewall?

 

I most probably will replace the tire too. This is probably a $ 1500 affair!

I've had wheels repaired that looked much worse than that, and they looked good as new. You might want to look into the best wheel repair guy in your area.

Can't repair that tire though.

Just did this on the wife's Panamera , same unpainted machine finished wheel as the Carrera classic. The wheel must be CNC machined to take the damage off. I just had the wheel repair guy carefully sand down the damage. It's not perfect but less noticeable. Unpainted wheels leave few options.

Do you have the wheel/tire warranty by chance? You are covered for the wheel and tire if you do.

I bought it for my TTS with 5 year coverage, and it has already paid for itself with two new rear tires from nail and screw puncture.

 

I did same to one of my wheels recently and very bummed about it. Just one reason I have a MT, wife does;'t know how to drive a stick!
